Note: No prior booking required. But if you are visiting with a group comprising over 10 people, you are advised to make a prior booking, to avoid overcrowding at the fire station. They generally do not recommend groups larger than 50, due to space constraints at the stations.

Our take on this place:
Crowd permitting, you may get a chance to hop into the cage of the Combined Platform Ladder (CPL) as it ascends.
You'll be strapped in, so safety will not be compromised. I don't think they will let it ascend 30 meters high with kids on it. (I don't suggest you try if you are afraid of heights.)
